1. SELF-GROWTH AND ACCEPTANCE
A. Feel Good About Who and Where You Are
“I love you just the way you are.” I always wanted to be told this. And to feel that way about myself. Over time, I found techniques that helped me. A few basic ideas I follow are:
The more I forgive and admire other people, the easier it is to love myself.
Every flaw has a flip side (a strength). Every mistake I make can be turned into an opportunity for honesty and connection with others.
I focus on what I DO want. I say what I LOVE.
May these articles prime you to feel more positive towards yourself, people, and life!

B. Live Fully in the Reality You Create
When I was young, it seemed difficult to create the kind of life I longed to live. The easiest thing to do was just escape into an online game, watch a show, or seek instant gratification.
But the years passed me by, and so did my dreams.
Now 4 years “sober” from Neopets, my relationship with technology and with being alive continues to get stronger. I share my passion for living addiction-free, and for being your own real-life hero.

Self-help doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all. Here I share my honest struggles, and the wacky approaches that seem to have helped me. I invite you to reflect on what works for YOU.
I’ve had chats with $2 bills. I follow strict rules that could seem over-the-top, but it liberated me from my bad habits. I’m distractible and I make too many lists, but I’ve used my quirks to my advantage as I slowly become a more grounded dreamer and achiever.

D. Embark on a Journey of Creative sharing
I first wrote in a diary when I was 5. People told me I was good at writing. It was a major passion, but only in private. I was too shy to share anything!
It took me till I was 27 to finally get off the ground as a writer. Now, I’ve posted over 250 articles. I’m thrilled, because being a public writer is normal now. Having eyeballs on my essays feels like no big deal.

2. HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
~ Social interaction 101… 404?… for awkward aliens ~
Social grace did not come naturally for me. I thank my lucky stars for basic communication books, like How to Win Friends and Influence People.
On top of that, I’ve had to deal with being extremely introverted, more sensitive than most folks, and vegan in a non-vegan world.
Here are some of my survival notes.
a. Open up by simply loving people a lot

~ Relationships (friendly and professional) ~
Want to know two of my biggest struggles in relationships?
First, I hate rejection (on either end). I wish I could be everybody’s best friend!
Second, I’ve wanted to participate. To contribute. To figure out how to be a leader at something useful. All my wisdom and potential felt locked away inside me.
These articles were a response to those struggles.
f. Cope with rejection and have happy boundaries

g. Taste true friendship

3. ALTRUISM & VEGANISM
~ Be kind and make the world merrier ~
Everything we do is to make the world better.
The articles below are to help you reflect on your greater goals in life, and aim to do the most good you can. As Buddhist author Matthieu Ricard would know, Happiness and Altruism can go hand in hand!
I sometimes write about effective altruism (EA) and suffering-focused ethics. These philosophies try to combine heart with logic & data, and to focus on preventing suffering, especially the worst forms of it.
a. Being more altruistic
b. When we cry for those who are suffering and worry we aren’t doing enough
c. Effective altruism and suffering-focused ethics
~ Include nonhuman animals in our compassion ~
These articles advocate that we respect nonhuman animals. Let’s avoid causing unnecessary suffering.
A pig, sparrow, and snake are all sentient individuals. In an ideal world, I can’t see why they deserve any less protection from harm than I do. Modern humans have a lot of power to make a difference for animals, but animals can do nothing to stop us from hurting them. Only we can hold ourselves accountable.
I hope these articles serve as a gentle challenge for vegans and non-vegans alike. Just as our world has opened up to include LGBTQ people like me, we can all be allies to animals as well.

i. Intersections of human and nonhuman issues

j. Vegan controversies and unpopular opinions
What Animal Would a Vegan Eat?: I wanted to hate meat, but embracing my bacon-loving alter ego could be good for the animals (could annoy fellow vegans, but it’s about collaborating with where people are at and taking tough questions seriously)
I Thought About My Throat Chakra and it Helped Me Listen to Ex-Vegans: When I accept experiences that differ from mine, I have an easier time speaking up for animals (note: this is a diary entry so it meanders into different topics, but you can skip the chakra stuff if you want)
~ Stay well and stay lighthearted, animal lovers ~
It is one thing to agree that animals deserve protection. To put our ideals into action, let’s enjoy the journey and make it sustainable.

4. GENDER EUPHORIA
When I was 11, the discrimination I faced at school made me crave equality. Why were people judged based on how they looked? Why should the bodies and brains we were born with determine how well we are treated?
As a transgender youth, I felt hopelessly misunderstood by society. It would hurt to think that I, too, might be bigoted or misunderstanding towards other marginalized groups.
That’s why I titled this section Gender Euphoria. We all deserve to feel joyful about being the unique person we are. Wealth euphoria, racial euphoria, ability euphoria, and aging happily ever after are all equally important. I hope to be a happy and helpful piece of the puzzle.
~ Transgender articles ~
I love sharing my personal stories that give a taste of transgender life. Transgender people are not a monolith, but I’m glad I can say my piece.
As a grateful reader of other trans writers and writers on gender, I know how much our stories validate one another. I write my articles for all of you, of any gender.
I express forgiveness towards discrimination and disagreements. I don’t know if I’m supposed to hand out “ally cookies,” but if I could bake, I would totally do that!
a. Resilience through transphobia, and forgiveness
b. What being trans means to me

c. Gender pronouns
d. Growing into a happier, healthier trans girl
A Transgender Girl’s 7 Mental Health Confessions: I’m a happy gal, but it hasn’t been all sunshine and daffodils (it tells a lot of my gender life story)
~ Nuanced social justice ~
I have always been liberal when it comes to social justice. Yet, I needed to break free from political groupthink. I longed to be a free thinker.
Believe every woman. Cancel all hate. Misogyny is everywhere, but discrimination against men doesn’t exist. All murderers should rot, and everyone who is struggling needs to see a therapist. These are the sorts of things I felt like I was “supposed” to agree with but couldn’t.
Some of my articles fit cleanly with intersectional feminism. In other articles, I come across as more centrist and contrarian. I hope our compassionate free thought and speech can serve the highest good.
I apologize for things I get wrong. I have a lot to learn, and I will strive to be a better ally.
e. Critiques of rigid, intolerant justice
3 Liberal Things That Annoy Me as a Liberal: I hate to admit it, but conservatives were right

j. Apologies and self-reflection to be a better ally
I’m Trying to Be Better About #MeToo: I’m sorry I wasn’t more empathetic towards survivors of abuse
5. SEXUALITY STORIES
As a kid, I was ashamed of self-pleasure. Queerphobia hurt me deeply. Frankly, I felt I would rather die than have anyone know I had sexual thoughts or crushes.
Then as an adult, I was held back by sexual assault and embarrassing experiences in dating.
I invite you to grow with me on my healing journey. Telling my stories under my real name seems out there, but the shame I used to live in gave me a wild hunger. I hunger to bare my truth to the world. I hunger to inspire more wholeness and happiness in others who have struggled.

6. DAY-IN-THE-LIFE DIARY POSTS
As an agnostic child, “Dear Diary” was my religion. It pained me if I let a day pass by without journaling! After I broke through as a writer in 2020, I even took my obsession to a new level… I made my diary public.
I did it for the accountability of telling you my daily thoughts and use of time. I did it for the conviction that my imperfect day was worth celebrating, and so is yours.
If raw, meandering writing is actually your style, the full collection is in dated order at Love Everyone. This pub is my home for ANY self-published article, so not all of them are diaries but you’ll spot the ones that are!

a. Preparation for the challenge

Why I Am an “Ajerkist”: Who doesn’t believe anyone’s a jerk.
I still loved writing it anyway. :)
9. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I’ll save this section for a future About Me story. The acknowledgments would be better received in a short article instead of at the end of a novel like this one, haha. Plus, I’ll have even more people to thank later on. :)
But I had already chosen the photo. I didn’t want to have to get rid of the cute, happy person standing in the sun. 😊
I am wishing you an enjoyable day and night that make you smile.
