This has to be one of the most helpful articles I've read on Medium! Literally just yesterday I read a more discouraging article about how competitive writing is. While it's good for me to learn from many experiences, I do want to focus mainly on the honest, optimistic success-in-progress stories like yours that tell me writing can indeed be an extremely viable career! It's very encouraging to hear how you hopped right into freelance writing, armed with good advice, and have had so many early victories.

I'm feeling bolstered to advertise my unique life experiences, expect good payment for my high-quality writing, and take note of the fact that everything on the internet was written by somebody and I can absolutely find my place within it.
