Thank you so much for your insight, Jordan! I am surprised the team behind this film did not have a Chinese director and artistic director. It would have made so much sense. It's such a bummer the Chinese schoolchildren can't enjoy what could have been a masterpiece. :( I am a white United States American and had wanted to see the new live-action Mulan. I had assumed it would be better this time due to recent increase in cultural awareness. Now, I will pass on seeing it.
