People With Borderline Personality Disorder Are Vibrant, Loving, and Resilient

Despite stereotypes, having Borderline or any personality disorder does not mean that a person will behave abusively. In fact, they could be an amazing friend. They could be a reliable, pleasant coworker. They could even be you.

The de-stigmatization of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) has felt good for my health. What we really need to do is stigmatize abusive behavior, but develop love and acceptance around the different brains and personalities who inhabit Earth.

In case you’re wondering, I am not diagnosed with anything, but I have struggled with themes of the “quiet” subtype of BPD. Therefore, just learning about it I find therapeutic.

If you don’t officially have BPD either, but at various points in your intensely emotional life you’ve been easily offended, pushing people away and losing yourself amid mood swings and self-defeating behavors…
