I love this for so many reasons!

1. The humble way you described being an ally. The funny thing is that people who describe their imperfect efforts in such a way are the BEST allies. This article is amazing and makes me feel so supported as a trans woman.

2. The way you commemorated one date, even though thre's no part 2. As a perpetual single, such short-lived encounters are all I have to celebrate. So I cherished your example of that with June.

3. You went above and beyond asking the other person's permission to post a story about her! I will think about that for some of my own stories which anonymously describe people I've known.

4. The top highlight was so poetic! The paragraph that ends, "Being joyful through it all."

Dating is hard. (Er, well, at least for me so far!) I'm on a quest to take one small action every night towards finding a wonderful relationship, for 92 days leading up to my birthday. Tonight I decided to look up an article about a man dating a trans woman. Such content is informative and gives me hope. Also, when I entered some search terms for this on Medium, your article was the only such article that came up. So thank you for providing this, Michael! You absolutely rock.
