I love how this article challenges me. I tend to not want anyone to get criticized or canceled, and cancel culture does concern me. However, it's a good thing that we try to hold each other accountable for the impact of our words. The last paragraph of this essay was brilliant: "facing consequences for what you say and do is not a free speech violation. And there’s nothing new or brave about signing a letter that characterizes criticism of the powerful as dangerous."
