Holy shit, I love your writing. And the way you advocate for veganism. You are so sharp-thinking and direct about it.

I keep getting stuck on the medical/health reasons excuse people have. I have no way of knowing how each individual’s body works, and there is so much contradictory nutrition info out there. So I wind up feeling confused/discouraged about how to promote veganism. But the medicine analogy you used is perfect! It makes so much sense. The possibility that some people need some amount of animal products for optimal health is no excuse for the probably vast majority who can be robustly healthy on a well-planned vegan diet. And even if someone finds that they benefit from animal products, they can still be a reducetarian and take only the needed medicinal “dose.”

Seriously, Pax, the way you addressed this objection gives me fire in my belly to write my next pro-veganism and animal rights article. You are an inspiration and a great influence on me.
