Hi Rain! 💖 Thank you for chiming in and sharing your experience as an autistic genderqueer AFAB person. You are right, my reasons for why I could not be autistic were connected to some common stereotypes. What you are saying is validating, and it matches up with a conversation I had with an autistic female friend last year. The female autism phenotype does seem to fit me a lot better.
I just now updated this old blog post by posting a link to a newer one at the bottom of it. It's an ongoing journey, but I am happy to report that I've "embraced" my autism more in the months since I wrote this. :) I would love to check out embrace-autism.com as well!
