3,000 words on your novel is a wonderful start! :) Now I want to get started too, Kelsey. All I have so far is a half-plotted outline in a document. I've been "thinking about it" but I believe if I really committed, I could decide everything I need to in a day and get chaptering by tomorrow! The trickiest part is that the novel I'll write was conceived as a project to engage the mind of a family member who has Alzheimer's, and to put some of their earlier ideas into print. ^_^ I'll have to figure out how to meaningfully involve them in the writing process, despite the ways dementia impedes our fullest conversations.

Are you more of a "plotter" or do you choose what will happen in the novel on the fly?
